Virgilio d'Oro to Federico Bucci
The “Edicola di Virgilio in Oro” has been awarded for 2023 to the memory of Professor Federico Bucci.
The Mayor of Mantova, Mattia Palazzi, and the President of the City Council, Massimo Allegretti, presented this recognition to Emanuela Bergomi, the wife of Professor Bucci.
The reasons for the award include his passion for the history of architecture and his commitment to strengthening the Mantova Campus, of which he was Vice rector from 2011 to 2023.
The “Edicola di Virgilio in Oro” is awarded to individuals from Mantova, whether by birth or adoption, who have in any way benefited the city. This can be by enhancing its prestige through their personal qualities or by selflessly serving its various institutions.
