Descrizione dell'iniziativa

Background
Freshwater scarcity is a growing global challenge, and seawater desalination isbecoming an increasingly vital solution—especially in coastal and arid regions. At thesame time, the energy and water footprint of everyday food products in oursupermarkets remains largely invisible to most consumers. Understanding theseinterconnections within the Water-Energy-Food (WEF) Nexus is essential forsustainable decision-making and education. This workshop invites students toexplore these complexities and help evaluate and improve immersive learning tools that make themtangible. Are you a master’s student at Politecnico di Milano (POLIMI) in energy, water, orenvironmental studies? Do you want to become an active part in the future of immersive learning?Apply now for an international workshop hosted at Campus Bovisa – part of theENHANCE cooperation project MITSea between POLIMI and RWTH AachenUniversity.

What’s the workshop about?
Over the course of four days (15 hours total), you’ll work in small teams to evaluateand improve/redesign immersive learning experiences using the Anywhere Academy VRplatform.

The focus: developing a new scenario around the Water-Energy-Food(WEF) Nexus.
• Phase 1: Explore and critically evaluate an existing VR scenario on seawater desalination
• Phase 2: Co-design new scenario components with RWTH and POLIMI instructors
• Engage in individual and group work
• Present your final concept to other students• Receive a certificate of participation
