Description
The seminar is divided into two related parts 1. (5:30-6:15 P.M.) The first part of the seminar is dedicated to the presentation of UNLOCK THE CITY! the project methodology, its development, and its multiple results in Europe and in Milan in the Corvetto and Porto di Mare neighborhoods. In particular, the relationship between the writing of a complex European project, its development, and its outcomes will be explored in depth. 2. (6:15-7:00 P.M.) The second part is dedicated to the discussion of a specific and significant case, the first performance of the Project conceived and conducted in Milan by artist and performer Marta Cuscunà (Bucolica, November 2023). In addition to the artist, architects and researchers from the fields of landscape design and territorial and architectural research will participate in the discussion. At the end, there will be an open session for questions and comments from the audience. Time (5:30-7:30 P.M.) Educational project
Training seminar on the relationship between performing arts, landscape, and public space based on the experience of the European project UNLOCK THE CITY! led by Piccolo Teatro di Milano - Teatro d'Europa with the Politecnico di Milano and the artists involved. The project activities took place in the city of Milan (Corvetto and Porto di Mare) as well as in Barcelona, Piatra Neamt, and Antwerp - partner theater venues - between 2023 and 2025. In particular, the seminar will explore the relationship between writing and the project's outcomes on landscape and public space, between performance and the perception of neighborhood spaces. The seminar will feature the participation of Marta Cuscunà, the artist who created the first performance (Bucolica - November 2023) in the Porto di Mare park in Milan.
Requirements
The seminar is aimed at professionals, researchers, public administrators, and citizens. The interdisciplinary approach of the event makes it accessible to both specialists and the general public interested in urban and cultural issues.
