Sergio Savaresi awarded the AEMOB Tech Innovation Excellence Award
Prof. Sergio Savaresi, Director of the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering at the Politecnico di Milano, has been awarded the AEMOB Tech Innovation Excellence Award.
The award was presented to Prof. Savaresi by the Italian Ambassador in Qatar, Dr. Paolo Toschi, on the occasion of the Autonomous E-Mobility (AEMOB) Forum held in Doha. It acknowledges "revolutionary innovations that redefine the possibilities of mobility", carried out in particular in the field of autonomous driving with the PoliMOVE Autonomous Racing Team.
The Autonomous e-Mobility Forum is a platform bringing together policymakers, industry leaders and academics from around the world to discuss the future of autonomous electric mobility. It established the AEMOB Tech Innovation Excellence Award to honour institutions and organisations that drive progress with pioneering technological innovations.
On the occasion of the award, Prof. Savaresi held a speech entitled 'Autonomous Driving: The Hidden Enabling Technology for a Sustainable Electrification', highlighting how autonomous driving is a key element in implementing new forms of electric and sustainable mobility and presenting the projects currently underway at the Politecnico di Milano in this field.
