NIMES UNIVERSITY

The Nîmes University (UNIMES) is a public scientific, cultural and professional institution created in 2007. It is located in the Gard department and spreads over four sites in the city of Nîmes. The UNIMES offers bachelor's degree, master's degree and doctoral programmes in 6 teaching areas (Sciences, Arts and Design, Law and Economics, Humanities and Languages, Psychology and Sciences and techniques of physical and sports activities). The research activity is focused on two main identity axes of risk sciences and social design. Through these two unifying themes and the links established with local and regional socio-economic actors, interdisciplinary approaches are offered, recognized by the economic and academic world also at an international level. In addition to offering professional training, the UNIMES is committed to providing numerous services for the students, in order to increase their sense of belonging and offer a vast panorama of activities aimed at their personal growth.
