Politecnico di Milano’s commitment to innovation and new business creation
POLIMI Innovators is the strategic framework through which Politecnico di Milano coordinates and strengthens all initiatives dedicated to entrepreneurship and research valorisation. It provides a space where the University’s expertise, tools and programmes come together, with the aim of making them more coherent, visible and effective in generating innovation and new entrepreneurial initiatives.
POLIMI Innovators is structured around three main areas of action, integrated and complementary, which support students and researchers throughout the entrepreneurial development path. These three areas address different needs - from initial guidance to support for high-potential projects - and operate in a coordinated way to offer a coherent and progressive support system.

Inspiration & Discovery
Dissemination of entrepreneurial culture and innovation
Through guidance interviews, bootcamp, simulations, and opportunities for discussion with entrepreneurs and startups, students and PhD candidates are supported in developing awareness of their individual aspirations and professional development opportunities. With researchers, possible enhancement pathways and business models are shared.
Education & Development
Development of entrepreneurial and transversal skills, transfer know-how
Concrete tools are provided to analyse markets, build business models and define growth strategies, together with the relational, decision-making and leadership skills needed to lead innovative projects. Events for discussion, networking and transfer know-how are organised.
Innovation Studio
Structured support for projects with the highest valorisation potential
Innovation Manager, experts in transforming research into high-impact initiatives, working in close collaboration with Technology Transfer Manager, guide team of students and researchers in strategic and business choices.
Entrepreneurship workshops are organised and connections with external stakeholders are created.

In close connection with POLIMI Innovators, TEF strengthens the development path of projects through mentoring, specialist expertise and preparation for competitive opportunities at international level.
