The Politecnico organizes interviews of admission in two separate windows
- first window: from March to July 2025.
- second window: in September 2025 (only in case of residual places)
To register for the exam, register on Politecnico di Milano's Online Services. Once you have received your code and password, log in to your personal account and follow this path: 'Laurea (equivalent to a Bachelor of Science) and five-year single-cycle programmes: entrance or recovery tests and enrolment' > 'Test Registration', and follow the online process.
For each exam window, you can see updated dates, exam times, the remaining available places and the time periods when you can register. You can sign up for only one exam.
If you are an Italian student with an foreign qualification, you must follow the same enrolment procedure as Italian students: in addition, however, you will have to submit some additional documents to the International Students Office
The Urban Planning exam will take place remotely on 8 July 2025.
To register you must:
- sign up for Politecnico di Milano’s Online Services
- pre-register for the entrance exam via the Online Services by 31 May 2025.

Italian language proficiency
Proficiency in Italian is assessed by submitting the documents required for the Urban Planning test, indicated on the page ‘What the exam consists of and how to prepare’ and during the exam.
Students in the Marco Polo programme
Students participating in the Marco Polo programme, in order to benefit from the number of places reserved for them, must present a similar certificate of Italian language proficiency by 27 June 2025.
In the absence of such certification, they may still participate to the admission test using the places reserved for students in the reserved places, but they will not be considered Marco Polo students.
