Laboratori di idee aperti alla comunità del Politecnico
The Sustainability Working Groups are collaborative teams created to generate concrete ideas related to sustainability and to actively involve the entire Politecnico community: faculty, staff, students, representatives, and associations. The Working Groups serve as a space for meeting and exchange: they gather and enhance ideas already present across different units, upscaling them at the university level; they promote innovative initiatives and connect skills and knowledge through the experiences of their participants. Launched in 2022 as a pilot project with 5 groups and around 50 people, they have proven successful and have now grown to 10 groups with over 200 participants.
From ideas to concrete projects
Here are some initiatives born from ideas and proposals developed within the Working Groups:
Welcome Sustainability Kit: useful sustainability tips and info for new students
WEEE and batteries: e-waste collection for the entire Politecnico community
Bike to POLI: cycling routes for easier access to our Milan campuses
Parasports for all: an open event to get to know and try different parasports
These and other ideas developed within the Working Groups are shared each month through the “Orizzonti sostenibili” newsletter (Italian only). The published articles can be viewed at the following page
