Giornate Fai d'autunno 2025
Contemporary architecture and urban transformation are the common thread running through the Politecnico di Milano's openings on the occasion of the FAI Autumn Days.
On Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 October 2025, three locations of the Politecnico will open their doors to visitors.
In Milan, in addition to the Bonardi campus with the La Nave and Trifoglio buildings designed by Gio Ponti, there will be the opportunity to visit the Renzo Piano Foundation inaugurated in 2022.
A space that hosts a library, the 'Renzo Piano Archive 1964-1977' archive fund and flexible spaces dedicated to workshops, study, meetings and lectures.
The Cremona and Lecco territorial poles will also be open for the first time
In Cremona, following the conclusion of the imposing restoration site, financed by the Giovanni Arvedi Foundation in collaboration with the Politecnico di Milano, it will be possible to have exclusive access to the complex, the rooms of the ancient monastery, the military offices and the new buildings destined for classrooms. The occasion will also be propitious to get to know and visit the places where research is carried out in the fields of 'Music and Acoustic Engineering' and 'Agricultural Engineering'.
In Lecco, on the other hand, you will have the opportunity to visit the Nervi Laboratory located near the city centre within the Lecco territorial pole of the Milan Polytechnic.
Born from the collaboration between the Pier Luigi Nervi Project (a non-profit organisation set up in Brussels in 2008 by Marco, one of Pier Luigi Nervi's grandsons) and the Milan Polytechnic - Lecco territorial pole and inaugurated on 7 April 2022, the Laboratory is a multifunctional space for study, research and culture open to citizens. It houses the permanent exhibition "Pier Luigi Nervi Architettura come Sfida" and temporary exhibitions dedicated to Nervi's works.
