What is it?
Teatro Filodrammatici is one of the oldest organizations in Milan – its original building dates back to 1798. It was a project by neoclassic architect Luigi Canonica, based on Giuseppe Piermarini’s drawings. In 1805 the theatre got a new name – Teatro dei Filodrammatici, as the Accademia dei Filodrammatici. The shows were on stage on Fridays, when Teatro alla Scala was closed. The theatre has been managed since 2010 by Accademia dei Filodrammatici.
